The town Christmas tree is located on State St. by the Memorial Park and Horsefeathers Pub. It looks like we won't be having a white Christmas like last year in Hood River. A little snow is left from last week and just a dusting on the Washington hills and Burdoin Mountain. I've noticed downtown Hood River has been busy the last couple days with holiday shoppers.

Amy - The mountain range and the style of the buildings provides a really quaint Americana feel to the town!

Does the Polar express go by this? My wife brought our grandson on the train this year.
No, State street is north a few blocks from the train depot.
Amy, that is a great looking tree! The downtown looks very nice as well!
I love the bottom pic with the mountain in the background. Don't really have any of those in NJ!
Amy, this looks like such a neat place! I also love the mountain in the background of the second one, but think the first one looks like a cool building! Merry Christmas!
Amy,
Looks like just enough snow to set the mood without getting in the way. Merry Christmas. :)

Pretty tree, Amy -- and I'll bet any amount of money that it's heavy with snow now!! What a surprise we got today in Portland!

Maureen- Yes, I'm sure it is white now. I haven't been downtown since it started snowing yesterday afternoon. The roads in Portland looked like a mess on the news last night. At least it's better there today. It will take a while here.
