The Maryhill Museum of Art is located on a Washington bluff three miles west of HWY 97 on WA hwy 14. It offers public access to some of the most beautiful art work and artifacts in the world. Sam Hill, the wealthy entreperneur who helped create the Historic Columbia Highway, originally purchased the 6,000 acres in 1907 and planned to establish a Quaker farming community. Construction began in 1914 on the bluff for his own house, a poured concrete mansion, which he named Maryhill after his daughter Mary. Displays include Rodin sculptures & water colors, Native American collections, Theatre de la mode French fashion manequins, and more.
