Hood River Real Estate Update

Historic Hood River Home

I have admired this stately large home located on orchard acreage just out of Hood River for many years. I decided to take some pictures as I was working with my husband on a house next door recently. I asked the owner of the house we were working on if he knew anything about the historic house. I learned that it actually had belonged to his Grandparents and he had lived in the home when he was young. He told me there was even an elevator in the home. I love the large oak trees around the house and barn. The orchard trees are almost ready to blossom.

What a gorgeous old house. I hear Oregon is beautiful and your photos certainly prove that correct. I have an antique home listing site and am a huge historic home enthusiast. I will definitely have to visit the Pacific Northwest one of these days soon.

Hi Amy ~ Wow! That's a beautiful house.  Wonderful trees too - I love trees and think they're very beautiful without leaves.  And I love barns too.  Glad I stumbled upon this post - a feast for the eyes.

Laura and Liz- I love historic homes too. A historic house here is probably a youngster compared to some of the historic homes on the east coast. Thanks for stopping by.
